With a roof full of solar panels, this family is all set for low energy bills
A dreamhouse on solar power
Daan moved with his family into a newly built house in Heerlen, the Netherlands, and immediately installed solar panels on the roof to generate as much of their own energy as possible. For the past three years, he has been driving his electric car very affordably and has had to purchase less electricity from the grid. When the sun is shining brightly, he stores excess power in two SMA Home Storage batteries for use later.
