Sandershäuser Berg – 750 KWp
Commercial PV Power Plant – Germany, 2018
In summer 2018 IBC Solar built a PV power plant in Niestetal close to the SMA production facility. The energy produced there is sold via direct marketing with SMA SPOT. Increasing the module system voltage from 1,000 to 1,500 volts allowed the strings to be extended by 50%, parallel connections, cable lengths and cross-sections were reduced. This minimized cable losses on the DC side and reduced system costs.
