Commercial PV power plant – Thailand, 2017
Star Aire Factory – 1 MWp
In Cooperation with the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ) the air conditioner manufacturer Star Aire installed a 1 MW PV plant with 36 Sunny Tripower inverters on its rooftop. The factory is directly consuming the green electricity produced on site instead of buying electricity. Thus electricity costs are reduced to 11.800 to 13.150 € monthly. Due to a general industry tax exemption mechanism the payback period of the installation has been reduced to only 3.5 years.
