FAQ

General information

Can you explain the frequency shift power control feature with the Sunny Island X?

When operating in off-grid systems, the SMA Hybrid Controller communicates setpoints to the PV inverters. To increase redundancy, FSPC (Frequency Shift Power Control) is also available.

When is the expected release date for the new Sunny Island X?

Pricing has been available since January 2025. Deliveries are anticipated to begin in April 2025.
